When beginning Chapter 2, I have no control of the vehicle & Shinryu drives himself into the patrol on the highway which causes me to explode & die continuously. Looking for a remedy, thanks!
This weird graphical glitch. It has to do with the looping bg stopping to fade the stage out. I'm not sure why it happens. It changes everything not in the loop. It's odd.
1. Is this preventing your from continuing the game? 2. Try using https://mgba.io/ - That's what I play/test the game with.
Gotcha! Thanks for all of your feedback & for creating what so far, seems to be a hell of a game for the GB!🙌🏻 Unfortunately this is stopping me from continuing at the moment but it will not deter me from trying to figure out how to progress. I’m familiar with mGBA but I do not believe that it is available for the iPhone which is what I primarily play on. I’ll update when I get past the beginning of Chap2! Take care!
Hi, my name is Ricardo and I do retro reviews on the erreKgamer website. I've been trying to contact you for days to ask if you're interested in having us review your game, but since I couldn't find your email I decided to try here.
Forgive me. I'm old. I'm gonna be honest, I'm definitely not new to the GBC. But I'm new to this. So I can download this bad-A looking game into a flash cartridge and play it on my Gameboy?
It works on handheld emulators too. I have an Anbernic. There is also Chromatic and Analogue Pocket, but I don't have either of those to test on. There is also FPGA emulation, which I'm not too familiar with.
If you wanted to play on PC
You can use emulation. I recommend https://mgba.io/ (Quickest way)
If I ever figure out how to package into exe, that could be an option too.
I uploaded the rom to a repro RTC cart using EPILOGUE GB Operator (I really wanted to have this game on a cart since I couldn't get the physical release) and played in FPGBC. Was on stage 2. It didn't happen again, for now...
Certain emulation will crash the game. It's hard to pinpoint which ones will cause it. Sometimes a firmware update will fix the issues. Certain emulators are poorly coded or something. Those kernal panic screens pop up a lot with emulators.
Really fun! The waves of enemies are just challenging enough. Runs smooth with lots of action. The game looks amazing. Great cutscenes and beefy sprites. Love it.

awesome looking game! What engine did you use for it? Also, do you have ANY GoDot or GameMaker games?
GBStudio.
I work in Construct 3. Here are some more of my games: https://saltandpixel.com/arcade-beta-v1-1
any godot or game maker games?
No

That's new.
In the beginning of Chapter 2, you shouldn't be able to control the character in the cutscene.
How are you playing the game?
Can you send me a video to brandon@saltandpixel.com?
This is the patrol that Shinryu crashes into before exploding & game over. & I am using the SameBoy emulator to run the game. Hope this helps!

Hello! For some reason when starting a new game on my GBC, the text doesn't display properly. When I tried in on my GBA, it displayed correctly.
Hey!
I think this happens with emulation. For one user, it fixed when they updated their firmware.
What kind of hardware are you using?
EZ Flash JR on Kernel 1.04e and Firmware 4. It doesn't seem like there is newer firmware available to download atm.
That's what I use. Does it do that every time you play? Maybe try clearing your save.
it's a great game, who composed the music?
Me!
Hey! Thanks for sharing. This often pops up on emulators. I recommend using mGBA (https://mgba.io/)
It has something to do with the emulator trying to mimicking the GBC Hardware CPU.
If this shows up on hardware, I'll need to what was happening before this popped up.
Forgive me. I'm old. I'm gonna be honest, I'm definitely not new to the GBC. But I'm new to this. So I can download this bad-A looking game into a flash cartridge and play it on my Gameboy?
Correct! There are a couple of ways to get the game on hardware.
If you wanted to play on PC
I appreciate the reply. Unfortunately, this will probably be my new obsession for a while.
Time to build that custom Game Boy.
Thank you for the game 😃
You are welcome! Enjoy!
This game is amazing, but I got a "KERNEL PANIC" screen.
Thanks.
How are you playing it? emulator, flash card?
What stage were you on when this happened?

Nice!

That was fun. I enjoyed how crunchy everything was, good work within the limits of the GBC!

Great job ! The game would be a huge hit if it was released at the GB time !
